The Arts Business Institute partners with funding organizations, corporate sponsors, arts organizations, schools and universities to present weekend workshops throughout the US, Canada and abroad. Program curriculum is designed to meet the specific needs of the partnering organizations and the unique regional needs of artists.

Arizona
Halstead Beads  Halstead Bead, has been a trusted craft and jewelry industry source since 1973. A printed catalog of wholesale jewelry supplies is available from the Halstead website.

Kentucky
Kentucky Craft Marketing  Kentucky holds the distinction of being one of the few states in the country to sponsor a wholesale show for its art and craft businesses.

Florida
City of Orlando  The official web site of the City of Orlando. Links to budget information, city officials, economic development, education, and arts offices.

City Arts Factory  With a collaborative partnership with the City of Orlando and many community partners, the Downtown Arts District is proud to present the City Arts Factory.

Maryland
Buyers Markets of American Craft   The Buyers Market is the largest wholesale trade show where retailers place orders directly with artists who produce luxury goods for home and fashion.  The event is unique among gift tradeshows, as all works on display are exclusively designed and studio made by artists in the United States and Canada – no imports or mass-manufactured products allowed.

Niche Magazine  NICHE was founded for the purpose of connecting art galleries and craft retailers with the finest wholesale crafts, handmade gifts and decorative art objects made in artist studios throughout the United States and Canada.

AmericanStyle This full color quarterly magazine is focused on contemporary craft, craft collectors and the artists who create studio craft art.  AmericanStyle provides art lovers with valuable collecting advice, focusing on everything from designer jewelry and art glass to collectible teapots, art furniture and sculptural ceramics. Those who travel with the arts in mind will find hundreds of art festivals, gallery exhibitions and museum events.

North Carolina
Handmade in America  HandMade in America is a non-profit organization promoting craft and culture for community and economic development in western North Carolina.  HandMade in America’s mission is to grow handmade economies through craft, cultural heritage and community assets.

Haywood Community College  The colleges’ Professional Crafts Curriculum is designed to prepare individuals for employment as studio professionals or in art-related fields. Using traditional and contemporary concepts, instruction includes technical knowledge, design skills, and marketing and business essentials.

North Dakota
North Dakota Small Business Development Center   The North Dakota SBDC is recognized as the provider of choice for small business assistance. Their vision statement “Your Ideas, Our Expertise, Your Success” guides the organization and is support.

Red River Regional Council  The Red River Regional Council offers the following services in Grand Forks County, Nelson County, Pembina County and Walsh County in North Dakota: Economic Development, Community Development, Resource Conservation and Development.

Pennsylvania

The Northern Tier Cultural Alliance  NTCA fosters awareness of the cultural traditions produced by the diverse cultures of the PA North Country through the Artisan Center & Store, educational programs and community involvement.   NTCA is one of seven Regional Folk Arts Support Centers in partnership with the PA Council on the Arts in a statewide Folk Arts Infrastructure Initiative.

PA Route 6 Heritage  Named by National Geographic as “One of America’s most scenic drives”, US Route 6 in  Pennsylvania is the heart of the American Dream. This magical and tranquil highway along Pennsylvania’s northern tier is 400 plus miles of history and heritage, linking small towns, generations of people and wondrous sights often forgotten. 

Mansfield University  The University is located in a rural community located in a scenic, mountainous region 30 miles south of Corning, NY and 48 miles north of Williamsport, PA. The area is noted for its quality of life and numerous recreational opportunities.  The university offers four degree programs in Art History and Art Education.

Tennessee
Tennessee Association of Craft Artists   TACA’s mission is to encourage, promote and connect crafts artisans  in Tennessee.  TACA works specifically through networking and marketing education. TACA members enjoy a vital connection to other craft artists and enthusiasts interested in the fine craft heritage of Tennessee.

Workhouse Arts Center  Lorton Arts Foundation  The Workhouse Arts Center is a project of the Lorton Arts Foundation. The expansive complex, once a correctional facility and now a center for arts, culture, and history, has a rich past and an exciting new presence.  At the beginning of the 20th Century, President Theodore Roosevelt commissioned the purchase of a large tract of land in Virginia for the creation of a workhouse for Washington, DC’s underserved residents.

Longwood University   A state-assisted, co-educational university, Longwood offers students a choice of more than 100 undergraduate majors, minors and concentrations. Graduate programs include business, visual arts, education, English, sociology and communication sciences & disorders.
