    For me, wholesaling to museum shops, galleries and retailers is not difficult. I have a marketable product and service. What frustrates me, however, is that often, in this economy, these places are struggling to keep their doors open. When they have few customers to view the work it is difficult for anything to sell.

    • I think the trick is to a create broad and deep body of work. New, new, new is what every customer wants to see in their local gallery or fine craft shop. The economy is not the same everywhere… there are some shops that are doing great, just a few miles from shops that are doing poorly. Look at how they are lighting, promoting and advertising. That’s how you evaluate a partnership… you want a strong partner, and you want to BE a strong partner. Are you willing to help plan a special event for your work?
