The Arts Business Institute announces a new online course in partnership with F+W Publications, starting in September.
Fast Start Marketing for Artists & Makers is a new six-week online course that presents materials appropriate for fine artists and craft artists who are serious about selling their work. Created in partnership with F+W Publications, the course is hosted on their Craft Online University platform and starts on September 19, 2016.
This comprehensive course is self-paced, so that students can learn on their own schedules. Content is presented in five main units:
- Getting Ready to Market
- Connecting with Your Customer
- Traditional Marketing Methods
- New Marketing Methods
- Implement Your Marketing Strategies
Each unit is extensive, covering topics from preparing your portfolio and visual presentation to understanding your customer, creating a message that resonates, understanding the psychology of marketing, and specific ways to reach out through marketing campaigns. The final unit of the course is structured so that the student creates their own marketing plan, prepared to make a “fast start” into the marketplace.
This course is interactive, with self-evaluations throughout, as well as templates, worksheets and videos. In addition, a discussion board remains active for the four-week period of the course enabling students to interact with the course authors and with each other on multiple topics. Tuition for this course is $129. Students who purchase the course may download it for future reference. Our content is written to be relevant and usable by artists and makers in all phases of business and at all experience levels.
