ABI Winter Workshop Scholarship Announced

trade show boothsScholarship applications are being accepted from artists negatively affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Each year, The Arts Business Institute offers a tuition scholarship (worth $250) to our February Winter Workshop. For 2013, we are accepting applications from artists who were impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

  • Was your studio or workspace damaged or rendered unusable by the storm?
  • Were you prevented from working on your art or craft as a result of the hurricane?
  • Did your income suffer because sales venues were closed or unavailable to you?

Coastal areas of New Jersey and New York took the brunt of the powerful damaging wind and water that Sandy brought to the Eastern seaboard, but artists from any area who experienced detrimental effects are welcome to submit an application for a scholarship.

This scholarship covers the complete two-day workshop which will be held in conjunction with the Buyers Market at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia on February 16-17,2013. The workshop presents educational lectures from nationally-known experts, a tour of the trade show floor, invitation to attend the NICHE Awards and a personal critique of your body of work.

This full-immersion type of workshop experience has been one of our most popular events, and has been called “transformational” by many of our participants.

Travel and lodging are not included in the scholarship. We have information on suggested hotels in the Philadelphia area for attendees.
